Glycerine vs Cold Process Soap

Do you what the difference is? Cold Process soap is the basic form of soap where oils are mixed with sodium hydroxide (lye) and other ingredients. Most will have a left over “lye” scent once there finish curing (6-8 weeks). Big name soaps will add a deodorizer to remove this left over.

Glycerine soap is basically the same except that the left over scent is removed and additional glycerine is added. The additional glycerine acts as a moisturizer for your skin. These soaps will typically has a stronger,  more pure scent. Also glycerine soap can be moulded into decorative bars more easily than cold process soap.

We typically have 70 scents in stock at all times and can make custom scents soaps in about 24 hours.
